Become a Volunteer at Tamar House
If you feel that you would like to give some of your spare time to help and share in the everyday life of some of our residents, then we would love to hear from you. This could be for a few hours on a weekly, fortnightly or even monthly basis.
You might like to help with serving tea or coffee, assist with lunches or join in and help with some of the activities that take place.
It might be that you would just like to offer companionship by having conversations with or reading to some of our residents. That extra 'human contact’ can very often brighten someone’s day - especially those who see little of their families regularly.
You may also be considering a career in the care industry and what better way to sample it for yourself and learn whilst helping at the same time.
If any of the above is of interest to you and you feel that you could make a difference and would like to give something back, then please get in touch.
It may be that you feel that you cannot commit yourself to giving your time on a regular basis - but still feel that you would like to make a difference and help.

This way, you can offer your help from time to time, as and when you feel you are able.
