Our caring staff team
We know that our staff team are critical to promoting the wellbeing of our residents. Therefore we have a team of skilled and dedicated staff who together provide professional, personalised care and support for residents twenty-four hours a day.

We have a Care Manager who is supported by a Deputy Care Manager, as well as Team Leaders who have all achieved Level 3 National Vocational Qualifications. All of our care staff have on-going training to cover; safeguarding vulnerable adults, the Mental Capacity Act, deprivation of liberties, medication awareness, manual handling, health & safety, food hygiene, first aid, infection control and dementia awareness, as well as many other aspects of care. All of our care staff are expected to undertake National Vocational Qualifications and currently the majority of our team are trained to level 2 or above.

Tamar House has a dedicated kitchen team with a head cook supported by two additional cooks. There is also a dedicated housekeeping team who ensure the home has excellent levels cleanliness.

Finally we also employ a dedicated activities co-ordinator who works tirelessly to ensure our residents are kept active and stimulated.

Employ sufficient numbers of staff with the relevant mix of skills to meet the needs of our residents
Qualified Staff.
Provide at all times an appropriate number of staff with qualifications in health & social care.
Performance Monitoring.
Supervise & monitor the performance of staff & volunteers to ensure they have the necessary knowledge, skills & understanding to deliver a high quality service.
Staff Training.
Offer a range of training and development opportunities to maximise the potential of each employee.
